While Austins integra is in the shop for a cage and a few other mods we decided to raise the engine a couple inches.  On the origional install we set the engine at the lowest setting. The dual height Hasport mount kit ( minus the trans bracket ) was used.  At the lower setting the engine just sat to low to the ground to get the car at the ride height we wanted to acheive.

Unfortunately in order to raise the engine the frame of the vehicle would have to be notched even further than before.  On the origional install I only notched it just engough to ensure removal of as little material as humanly possible.  Just enough for the trans to clear.  As most of you may know we used a triptronic auto trans on this project.  Massive in size next to its manual counterpart.  So raising it up would mean pulling the engine and notching the frame much higher for the trans to clear.  Here are some pics and a little info on the progress. Enjoy!

The engine is out. Time to get started.
Here you can see the origional notch and the line drawn for the new one.
The big hole.  Kids dont try this at home, lol.
All boxed, welded and smoothed.  Sorry for the bad pic, the primer was still wet.
Engine reinstalled and reay to roll to the new shop.  Just need to swap to a 3.7 mannifold to get that hood to shut.
Stay tuned for cage completion, some custom shifter stuff and start up.
